    Cramps during my pregnancy

I have been experiencing menstrual like cramps for the last week. It feels like fairly mild and I've had zero spotting but it's enough to concern this 1st time mum to be.

I hope you can give me advice on this.
    Thank you.

    Hi Lovelyjoy02,

How far along are you? I rarely got cramps, yet with each of my last 2 pregnancies, I actually experienced menstrual like cramps after I found out I was pregnant, for about 3 weeks. It was quite odd, and I had no spotting and went on to give birth to full term, healthy children.

My guess is that the cramps are in response to your hormones changing and they should subside. Of course, if they get stronger or you start spotting, you'd want to call your midwife or doctor to let them know. Does taking a warm bath help them to calm down? Are you getting enough essential fatty acids in your diet from fish like salmon, sardines or cod, or are you taking flax oil or cod liver oil each day? Essential fatty acids can also help to calm cramps and balance hormones.

    Warm Regards,

Thanks a lot. I learned a lot from you.
I really appreciate and will apply if it's effective.
    Thank you again.

    Best regards,
