Date Fruit May Lead to Faster, Timely, and More Effective Labour
I have seen this and a similar study making the rounds in many of my doula and midwifery groups as of late. It is interesting information. It is based on a study wherein it was determined that eating plenty of date fruit daily in late pregnancy may have a significant effect on the way things turn out, with women requiring less use of induction or drugs and having a generally easier labour and birth.
Even if the effect is coincidental, it certainly does not hurt to eat clean, healthy dates late in pregnancy.
Here is a link to the study so that you can read it for yourself:

Wow that's really interesting. Those statistics would certainly convince me to eat plenty of dates next time around.
Thanks for sharing this - this information could make a real difference to some ladies if it is statistically significant.
Happy Christmas!
