Toddler Tantrums
Hello,
I am a mother of two kids. I would like to know what is the most proper method to deal with toddler tantrums? I have heard about positive parenting. Does it really work ? Does threatening and cajoling have any bad impact ?

Negative attention tends to breed bad behaviour. There are many reasons for toddler tantrums from low blood sugar to need for attention. I think finding the root cause, whether it be hunger, boredom, or adult inattentiveness, and try to correct it before the tantrum takes place. If this does not work I would calmly and rationally explain that you are not going to give in to the child's irrational behaviour and as long as they are throwing the tantrum in a place where they are not a threat to themselves or others, resume your own activity.

Hi,
After going through what you said, I think boredom is causing her to throw up tantrums. The elder one gets bored very fast with most of the things . I will try finding out some other ways to get rid of her boredom.
Thanks a lot for the advice.
