My name is Louisa and I am currently in my 3rd year of my midwifery course at Monash University. As part of my course I need 'follow through' participants. These are pregnant women who are willing to have a student be involved in their pregnancy and birth (optional). It involves attending antenatal appointments, hospital visits and/or birth (optional). This program helps students have a greater understanding of 'with women' philosophy. This is the belief that each woman's experience of pregnancy and childbirth are unique and that it is a normal life experience. Hopefully I will be an extra form of support and provide an enjoyable experience.
