What are your favorite/least favorite things about the site so far?

I love this site. The amount of resources and information that is available in one concise place is incredible. If I changed anything, it would be making the forum more accessible. It took me a while to find the forum and I sometimes wonder if other new visitors have a similar issue.

I love this site so far it is great. I agree that if we all work together we can advertise and bring others to the forum as well. I think that this forum will go really far and I am glad that I found this forum as well. I love helping others with their issues and I love giving advice and life experiences. If you have any further ideas on how to make the forum more accessible - let me know. I will start an advertising campaign soon - so hopefully this will attract new members. I will promote the forum to our database and on our Facebook pages. I am hoping that 2012 will be a big year for PBBs forum.

It would be nice if the forum was easier to find on the website - it seems hard to find some how. Also, it would be nice if members could add an avatar to their profile that shows up under their name on each post.

Thanks for your feedback Kestrel - There is an issue with the forum regarding avatars - even though the settings are selected to allow avatars members can't seem to add them (I only found out yesterday that this was an issue). We are contacting our forum technical expert to have this issue rectified (I will announce when this problem is fixed).

We have work scheduled on the main website this week to make the forum a lot more visible from the main website. Also we will run a series of adverts across the website and will probably do some external advertising. So hopefully we'll see a lot more new members soon.

The avatar issue is solved. Everyone can now upload an avatar (if they chose). Your avatar will show with each of your posts (like my photo). Still working on getting the forum more visible.

I also enjoy using the forum to hear the opinions of other parents and professionals. I wonder if using twitter to promote the forum could be useful. For example, it could be used to give short updates on the most commented forum post of the week.

Thanks ljmarsden. Frequent posts on Twitter are a great idea. I could tweet interesting threads or the most commented on forum for the week as you suggest. Thanks for the tip.

Also our graphic designer has come up with two advert for the forum - just wondering on what everyone's preference is. Green or Blue?

I have made my first tweet for the forum - @PregnancyBirthB and I've also posted on the homepage of the website. The new adverts should be up on Tuesday across the website. If you have any other suggestions on how to get this community rolling let me know.

Just a quick update - we have put the new green forum advert across the website. Each week I will feature a thread on the forum from the homepage and will mention the forum in all our email newsletters. Lets hope the forum grows and grows.
