Bleeding during pregnancy can be a very scary time for a pregnant woman.

Indeed, XoomIndia. I have bled in two pregnancies - one of these episodes very sadly resulted in a miscarriage and the other was the pregnancy of my beautiful second boy.
I found that once I had bled in a pregnancy, it made me feel quite nervous and 'on edge' in future pregnancies (particularly during the first trimester). However, I held onto the fact that in may healthy pregnancies women bleed as a normal part of the pregnancy. Around 1 in 4 women bleed in pregnancy and the majority of these women go on to have a healthy baby.
However, any bleeding in pregnancy should be checked out by your midwife or doctor.
Whilst I know it is difficult, if you are bleeding in pregnancy then try to stay calm as you do not want to pass any stress onto your baby.
