    Irregular Periods and Ovulation

I have irregular periods and was on birth control pills for 6 months due to bleeding. After completing the 6 months prescription, I expected that I will have regular periods however this did not happen. Sometimes, I have my period twice a month. Do I still ovulate with this frequency of periods?

How long have you stopped taking the pill for?

It is normal for it to take up to 3 months for your periods to settle down again. If it has been longer than this then you should check with your doctor.

    Warm wishes,

Hi, I had stopped taking the pill since last year and still have irregular periods.

Thanks for taking time to reply to my post.

Did you have irregular periods before you went on the pill?

Does that mean that you have been trying to conceive for about a year now? It is recommended that you see your doctor if you have been trying to conceive for 12 months or longer.

    Thinking of you,

Yes, I have irregular period before I went on the pill.

I've seen my doctor however when she saw the result of the semen analysis of my husband showing a 2% morphology. She advised us to see a urologist. My husband is taking supplements right now.
