Thoughts on mowing the lawn at 8 weeks pregnant?
I am 8 weeks pregnant at the moment & I am wanting to mow the lawn but unsure if its safe for my unborn baby. We have a big flat yard, it's not strenuous, but wasn't sure about petrol fumes and the smell of grass clippings.

Welcome to the forum and congratulations on your pregnancy.
As long as you have a well-maintained lawn mower that does not give out an excess of petrol fumes this would be considered safe. The grass cuttings will not cause you harm in pregnancy.
In terms of the exercise levels, in pregnancy you can exercise at a level that you were comfortable with pre-pregnancy. You should avoid any contact sports or anything that makes you feel dizzy or too breathless (i.e. you should be able to maintain a conversation whilst exercising). However, you say that cutting the lawn is not too strenuous and I assume this is something you did pre-pregnancy too so this level of exercise should be fine in pregnancy.
I wish you a happy, healthy pregnancy.
