Miscarriage in a young girl or a "something twenties" woman will often depend upon the health of the young lady and the amount of stress she is under. Many young girls have given birth to healthy babies - even girls who had really stressful emotional situations during pregnancy.

The pregnancy and baby charity Tommy's recently published these statistics about miscarriage:
Under 30: 10 percent risk of miscarriage
35-40: 20 percent chance of miscarriage
Over 45: 50 percent chance of miscarriage
Around 1 in 5 pregnancies will sadly end in a miscarriage. Most women go on to have a successful pregnancy.
