Normally, women shed around 10% of their hairs each month. However, in pregnancy this shedding of the hair does not occur due to the changes in hormones. This means that postpartum (after birth) a woman will eventually shed all these extra pregnancy hairs and this may make her feel her hair is getting thinner than normal. This postpartum hair shedding tends to occur up to 12 months after giving birth.

After this time, your hair should return to its normal fullness and condition. However, having had thicker hair in pregnancy and then losing it relatively suddenly can make you more aware of the hair loss. It's important to eat a healthy, balanced diet at this time. There are also shampoos available that can make hair appear thicker.

I hope this answers your question.

    Warm wishes,

Use a wide tooth comb when combing your hair especially when wet. Hair is fragile when wet so I recommend you to use wide tooth comb. Avoid pigtails, braids and tight rollers to prevent hair damage. Use a natural thickening shampoo if you want. Your hair will grow and stop from falling after few months.

Hair loss during and after pregnancy is very normal reaction of our body yet in due time it will come back naturally. DOnt worry because I had that experience but now my hair is relatively long down my waistline. Eat fruits and vegetables that will help the hair grow back.
