Are you referring to children having bubble baths?
There is no direct evidence that bubble baths can cause urinary tract infections in children. However, they may cause children to have sensitive skin and this in turn could cause a child to hold their need to urinate, therefore, increasing the risk of a urinary tract infection.
I think you will find this short review into bubble baths in the British Medical Journal interesting. The conclusion of this article is this: 'We believe that the enjoyment of bubble baths outweighs the limited evidence of their proposed harm'. Therefore, although bubble baths have the potential to cause a lower urinary tract infections; when used in moderation they are unlikely to cause any harm.
