How long is it necessary to continue sterilising a baby’s things?

My baby is crawling and, whilst we are still sterilising I'm not sure it's still necessary. Any advice would be appreciated

    Dear loppysmum,

The recommended advice is to sterilise your baby's equipment until they are at least 12 months of age. This is because your baby could easily pick up a diarrhoea or vomiting bug. This is particularly the case with anything that touches the milk (e.g. if you use bottles) - so ideally these would still be sterilised after your baby turns 12 months.

    Best wishes,
    LJ

Thank you, we will carry on with the routine we have until he's a little older
