When a 20 month old child begins to speak in audible complete sentences, could this a sign of an intellectual gift?

Children all develop differently, at different times. What typically happens is that children develop certain skills more then others at first. So one toddler may have very advanced speech and language skills but perhaps be less developed in terms of jumping and throwing a ball than another child the same age.
How many words would you say your child can use?
Some 20 month olds can speak in sentences that are audible to others. Some of these children may be identified as intellectually gifted when they are older but not all. So, to conclude, my answer to your question would be: it's possible but not a certainty
