Could a deep tissue massage be harmful to me during early pregnancy? (1st trimester)

    Hi linss8020,

Thank you for your post and congratulations on your pregnancy.

A massage in pregnancy can be useful to help you to relax and it can help with muscle or ligament discomfort. However, it is generally recommended that you wait until you are in the second or third trimester before having a massage (just to be on the safe side). You should tell the therapist that you are pregnant. You may also want to consider a special 'pregnancy massage'.

    With warm wishes,
    LJ

Thanks! When the time comes, I will try looking into finding someone who specializes in prenatal massage if possible. Thanks for your advice
