Here on the Pregnancy, Birth and Beyond forum we often talk about Preconception Care. We have a helpful article written by our resident midwife Jane on the main site about Planning for Pregnancy and Preconception Care. There are many factors which can help you to have a healthy pregnancy, including:

- Taking Folic Acid supplements (for at least one month prior to pregnancy)
- Eating a healthy balanced diet (with lots of fresh fruit and vegetables)
- Avoiding: alcohol, caffeine, smoking and over heating and keeping stress levels to a minimum
- Drinking plenty of water
- Exercising regularly

Did you make any changes to your lifestyle before you started trying to conceive? What affect did this have on you? How important do you think these factors are?

We look forward to hearing about your experiences of preconception care.
