Dark marks during and after pregnancy

Does anyone have any advice on how to remove dark marks that I got while pregnant with my daughter. I still have them under my eye area, close to the cheek. They have lightened up a little, but not completely gone. I have used sugar with lemon as a skin exfoliator. Any natural remedies?

    lovemykids,

I have heard from several mums experiencing this darkening during pregnancy. This condition is fairly common during pregnancy and tends to fade away with time. Some women report taking longer for the darkening to fade and others report shorter time frames.

Here is a link to an article explaining the condition and some things you can do from home to help.

Ive also heard that a retin-a type cream can help lighten dark spots.
In some countries retin-a is readily available over the counter.
Please do the research on how to use this particular cream.

    Hope that this information helps.

    Blessings

Hydrating and protecting the skin is very important. Use a natural sunscreen every day to protect your skin from the sun and drink at least 8 glasses of water every day. It is normal to have dark marks after pregnancy; it will be back to normal after some time.
