    Vitamins and Supplements while pregnant

Are there any specific vitamins recommended for women while pregnant. I know it can be difficult to receive all the vitamins and minerals we need on a daily basis from food consumption alone, so are there any additional supplements that should be taken in combination with a healthy diet?
    Thanks in advance!

    NatMari,

Here is a great article written by the midwife of this forum:
    http://http://www.pregnancy.com.au/p...regnancy.shtml

She lists several supplements that are suggested during pregnancy in her article.
Also remember that 2-3L of water should be ingested daily as well.
Let us know if you have any further questions.

    Blessings

Vitamin A is very important for women who are pregnant because it helps with postpartum tissue repair. It also helps maintain normal vision and fight infections. Vitamins C, E,D folic acids are other vitamins needed not only during pregnancy but even after. These can be also get from fruits, vegetables and meat.
