Are there any foods or vitamins essential to increasing fertility? I have heard zinc is really beneficial to women hoping to become pregnant, but are there any others that would also be beneficial. Additionally, are there any foods or vitamins that should be avoided while trying to become pregnant?
Thanks in advance,

Thank you for your question and apologies for the delay in replying to you.
Eating a healthy balanced diet rich in fresh fruit and vegetables can help with your fertility levels. Research has shown that organic fruit and vegetables contain significantly more nutrients than their non-organic counterparts.
In terms of food to avoid when you are trying to conceive or pregnant; please have a read of this article Safe Eating and Drinking Before and During Pregnancy. You want to avoid too much vitamin A which can also be found in some cosmetics.
If your iron levels are low you should take an iron supplement and Zinc can be beneficial too as you say above. It's also important to make sure you are achieving your daily Calcium intake.
With warm wishes,
