    Spitting up

My baby won’t burp. He falls asleep in my arms and then spits up. What can I do to prevent so many spit ups? Any techniques on burping a baby? I tried resting him on my lap, leaning him forward and patting his back and over my shoulder but he doesnt burp. occasionally I get him to pass gas. help!

Your little one may be taking in to much milk in a short period of time. Can you try to slow down his feedings...give him a break half way through his bottle feeding...sit him up...offer him a burp for a few moments and then finish his feeding?
I would keep him upright, slightly elevated directly after a feeding. If he is laid down flat... right after a feeding it can cause indigestion and spitting up his milk.
Keep him elevated and see if that helps as well as a paced feeding with breaks in between his bottle.
Hope these little tricks offer some relief to your little one.

Ok ill try that. The nurse told me burping was not necessary if tje baby falls asleep during feeding. Im loving the advice you have to give. Thank you so much!
