    Red Raspberry Leaf Tea?

I have done some research on red raspberry leaf tea, and there seems to be a lot of disagreement over whether to drink it during pregnancy and when to start. I was just wondering if anyone had experience with using it. Did it help your pregnancy and birth? When did you start?

    Hello picksomeflowers,

Thank you for posting this interesting question.

Yes you are right - more research needs to be carried out on Raspberry Leaf. However, the sound research that has been collected already is interesting. You can read more about Raspberry Leaf in this article on the main part of the Pregnancy, Birth and Beyond site.

From what we are aware it seems that Raspberry Leaf can help to make contractions more efficient/ smoother. It seems that it is safest to take it from 32 weeks onwards and women should avoid taking it in early pregnancy because of its affect on the uterus.

I have not personally drank it but I have heard positive birth stories from those who have.

I hope this helps to answer your questions.
    Warm wishes,
    LJ
