    How do you control your weight during pregnancy?

    Dear learnaboutbabies,

    What is best is to be a healthy weight and have a healthy lifestyle before you actually conceive. You are more likely to have a low-risk pregnancy and a natural birth if you have a healthy pre-pregnancy weight.

    Dieting is not recommended during pregnancy. What is recommended is to eat a healthy, balanced diet packed full of fresh fruit and vegetables. You should carry on exercising at a level you were doing pre-pregnancy.
