Natural Birth Control- Should I advice my youger sister to try it?
I've been using Billings Method for 11 months now, and I'm really happy with it. I always thought that hormonal birth control was the only safe way, but turns out that I was wrong (and my doc was wrong too)
My question is should I be encouraging my younger sister to try it? I mentioned in other post that my mum died when I was 14 (my sister was only 9)
Thank you for your support beautiful ladies!

Once again I am so sorry about your mum. I cannot imagine how difficult that must have been for you and your sister.
Well no contraceptive method is 100% effective (apart from not having sex!) but if you are well-informed and use the Billing method carefully then it is highly effective. Also it does not affect your hormone levels in the same way as the pill. Condoms are obviously another option which also do not affect your hormone levels.
One of our senior forum member's shared this post about her experiences of using the Billings Method - I think you will find it interesting.
