    Placenta Accreta

    This is my third C section. My doctor said this should be my last pregnancy because there is a risk of Placenta accreta or abnormal deep attachment of the placenta into the uterus. Is there a way to prevent Placenta accreta?

    I may be wrong, but from what I understand of it there is very little a women can do to prevent placenta accreta from occurring. However, this disorder is very rare. It only occurs about 1 time in every 2,500 pregnancies.

    I agree with Mom2Many; I don't thnk there is anything you can prevent it. Did he say why he thinks you are risk of having placenta accreta?
