    Skin care during pregnancy

I was told by some friends that there are some skin care products and cosmetics that's to be avoided during pregnancy. My medical practitioner though didn't saying anything about it. I was told that whitening products should generally be avoided. And I've heard from some that sunblocks are not recommended too. Is this true? The whitening product can be skipped, but I think sunblock is essential as it provides protection, so I'm hesitant at the idea that this is not allowed.

What other products should then be avoided? Thanks.

Most women to not alter their skin care routine while pregnant. However if you do wish to do the research you will find a small list of skincare ingredients to avoid while pregnant.
