Risks of Having Ovarian Cyst During Pregnancy
My cousin is four weeks pregnant now; lately she felt pain on her lower abdomen, for that she went to her gynecologist for a check-up. All of us were appalled when her gynecologist told her that the pain she was experiencing is due to an ovarian cyst. Considering that she was pregnant all of us were alarmed. However, her doctor reassured her that it is not a thing to worry. The cyst can be removed on the fourth month of her pregnancy if it will not bother her that much. Now all of us are asking if this ovarian cyst will affect the baby? Apart from that we would also like to know what are the possible risks of having ovarian cyst during pregnancy? If there is somebody who experienced this situation during pregnancy, can you share it with us? We would surely appreciate it.

I've had two ovarian cysts in early pregnancy. From what my caregiver told me they are relatively common and typically go away on their own before the birth. That is exactly what happened in my case both times.
