Will the father still be seeing the boys at all?

At this difficult time, I would say that it is important that you have/build a support network of friends and family around you and your boys who can help support you. I also wonder if there are any local single parent support groups like there are in my area?

Maybe some other mums on this forum can share their experiences with this difficult topic too?

I am sorry for what you are going through. I have been through a divorce and I was a single mum briefly, but my child was very, very young. How old are your children?
