IVF gives better chance of pregnancy than natural conception
Did you know that the chance of a woman conceiving through IVF is now greater than her chance of falling pregnant naturally in her 30s?
Using an Australian-based IVF world leader as an example, the chance of a live birth after an embryo transfer at 35 is around 28%. By comparison, the chance of falling pregnant naturally in any given cycle is currently estimated at around 25%... and dropping.
In developed countries:
- Fertility rates and birth rates are dropping
- The age at which women start trying to have children is increasing
- Research is advancing at the speed of light to increase success rates of assisted reproductive technology (ART)
Do you think one day in the future ART will be the norm and natural conception the stuff of myth and legend?Last edited by Mumof2IVFmiracles; 5th May 2013 at 09:48 AM.
