The Midwifery Practice Management Workshop is aimed for midwives in private practice and those considering entering private practice. Date - Monday 27th June 2011.

Dr Chris Hendry, Executive Director and Lisa Wisdom, National Manager, of the Midwifery and Maternity Providers Organisation (MMPO) New Zealand are coming to facilitate the Midwifery Practice Management Workshop. The workshop is aimed for midwives in private practice and those considering entering private practice.

Workshop Programme

  1. Introductions and overview of the role of the MMPO in New Zealand.
  2. Profile of midwifery practices in New Zealand.
  3. Application of the MMPO electronic midwifery practice management system to the Australian environment.

This interactive workshop is designed to achieve the following:

  • Provide an overview of the tools the MMPO can provide to assist Australian midwives develop a viable midwifery practice (preparation).
  • Discuss the needs of midwives in Australia for the support we provide.
  • Profile a variety of NZ midwifery practices.
