I am unsure of the costings, but I am part of a Private Midwifery Group Practice that can provide your partner with antenatal and postnatal care in her home. Please see the website for more information.

Dear sir or madam, I have visiting scholar visa (temporary visa) around November 2012 for 6 months or more in Perth (Australia). I know pregnant. I give birth a child (baby's delivery) around February 2013 in Australia. Can I take the advantages of health care or Medicare insurance? If not how much is the hospital cost? Will public hospital accept me for baby's delivery? Sincerely, Azar Purkhosrow

Dear Sir or Madam

How much is the caesarean delivery operation in your hospital for a person with a temporary residence and without health insurance?

Best regards

Hi, Please advise me of the cost of pregnancy in Perth. I am an Australian citizen but my partner who is having visitor visa is coming to deliver the baby here. I am not sure whether we will get pregnancy covered under my medicare or not; private health insurance doesn't cover the cost either. So please tell me how much will be the cost she is in her 25th week. reply ASAP

FYI, I paid for private care at SJOG Subiaco and spent $5,800 on my booking and delivery before other costs. Obstetric care was about $80 per visit but I think Medicare did cover some of that. You will also have to pay for scans and blood tests.

Good luck
