The Birthing Evacuation Pod is designed to be an integral part of your hospital’s emergency procedures, specifically for safely removing a person from a birth pool or bath during labour. Its mesh outer fabric allows water to flow through easily when lifted from the bath, while the shorter straps and multiple double handles (2x each end and 3x along each side) ensure ease of handling in confined spaces.
The pod features a closed-cell foam base that floats and does not absorb water, making it easy to slide under the patient in the bath. Once in position, the mesh wings are securely strapped around the body. The handles and straps allow for smooth sliding of the patient over the bath’s edge onto a barouche. The heavy-duty slide sheet material of the base further facilitates this movement. Additionally, the mesh flaps enable quick drainage, ensuring a seamless and efficient evacuation process.
