Description

Rebozos held by Jane CloseThis cotton rebozo, made by hand, is an ideal accessory for use during pregnancy, labour, and postnatal care. During labour, it can aid in moving a woman’s pelvis, provide support during contractions, and help position the baby favourably for delivery. It is beneficial in cases where the baby is in a posterior position, causing constant back pain. Using a rebozo for gentle pelvic rocking by the support team can be practical and comforting for the labouring woman. The rebozo’s numerous benefits can make the birthing experience more comfortable for both mother and baby. This long woven scarf is robust, durable, practical, and made from soft, colour-fast cotton. The long woven scarf measures around 570mm by 2000mm.

The Rebozo DVD (with a helpful instructor’s loop for demonstrating in class) and the Rebozo Poster, which show the many uses of this simple, low-tech comfort aid, are available separately. They are also available in packs of 10 at special discount prices for use in classes or for selling to parents.

Washing instructions: Hand wash separately in cold water and hang to dry.
