The Venus II Water Birth Pool is a quantum leap forward, taking the original model to new safety, value and performance levels.

This iconic mid-size, water birth pool was initially developed in the mid-1980s with the help of mothers, midwives, obstetricians, manual handling and infection control experts. Millions of women worldwide have benefited from using this simple pool of water to have a better labour and birth experience.

The mid-size Venus II Water Birth Pool is slightly smaller inside than the luxurious Active Birth Pool, with the same key features. Mothers have plenty of room to move freely, instinctively finding the most comfortable and beneficial positions.

The rounded bull nose shape rim wraps around the pool, giving mothers a firm handhold in whatever position they’re in. Unlike other birthing pools, midwives sit comfortably with arms resting on the extra-wide rim and legs tucked underneath.

The versatile support seat is designed to actively encourage mothers to move into positions that encourage their pelvis to open. The distinctive groove down the middle allows the sacrum to move freely and not impinge on the birth canal.

Mothers also use the seat for support in a wide range of upright positions natural to labour and birth, or to sit on, lean back and rest to welcome their baby after the birth. The extra-wide front rim makes it easy for mothers to get in and out of our pools.
