Your baby is getting bigger by the day, and the formation of their fingers and toes is complete. They may even start sucking their thumb as they settle in your uterus and find a comfortable sleep position. Of course, this might not always feel so comfortable for you! You may now be aware of your baby’s sleep and wake cycle, so you know when to expect their active periods.

How your baby is growing when 21 Weeks Pregnant?
Your baby now measures 18cm from top to bottom and weighs about 390gm. Their brain is growing, along with the rest of their body. By this stage, their legs start to look more in proportion with their body. The placenta continues to grow too, but not at the same rate as your baby.
What You May Feel
Now that you are halfway through your pregnancy, things can start to feel very real. You may know the sex of your baby, and you may begin to imagine what type of person they will be. Physically, you can experience more aches in your lower back, due to carrying the extra weight. In addition, the hormone relaxin loosens your ligaments and joints in preparation for your pelvis to expand during childbirth. Try treating yourself to a warm bath, as this may help if you do feel discomfort.
Tips when you are 21 Weeks Pregnant
Another side effect that you may experience from your uterus putting pressure on your other organs is heartburn or indigestion. Some women suffer from heartburn throughout their pregnancy. A great tip is to eat smaller meals more frequently, much as you did with morning sickness in the earlier weeks. Avoid large, greasy meals in the evening, as heartburn can often feel worse when you lie down to sleep at night.
