Ameda Custom Breast Flange Reducing Insert (fits inside 25.00mm flange) is a useful accessory for the Ameda Breast Pumps. Some mothers do well with a standard breast flange, however some mothers need a smaller size. The Ameda Reducing insert has been designed for use when a smaller breast flange is required for comfort and effective pumping. The reducing insert fits into the standard 25mm breast flange and reduces the funnel size to 22.5mm for smaller nipples.

How do you know?

One way to know you need a small or larger flange is if pumping hurts, even on low suction. But there are other ways to tell. You can, for example, measure your nipple. If your nipple at rest is about 22 mm or larger, you will most likely need a flange size larger than the standard. The best way to gauge size is while pumping. You know you have a good flange fit when you can see space around your nipple as it is pulled into the nipple tunnel.

The Ameda Custom Breast Flanges replace standard flanges (25mm) included with most pumps and kits. Each box includes two flanges and two inserts.
